Published by David Ciaffardini, Sound Choice was one of two publications (OPtion was the other) that were born after the discontinuation of OP. Whenever I interview American hometapers and ask them how they became aware of other hometapers, they nearly always cite OP, Sound Choice and OPtion. I would have preceded posting the inaugural issue of Sound Choice with the first OP, but the initial issues were newspaper size and my scanner won't support that (though I'm determined to work it out). Sound Choice was all about independent music, regardless of style or genre, though lots of experimental music was covered. We've got contacts & sources columns, listings of radio stations friendly to independent music, underground publications, coverage of cassette artists by veteran hometaper Tom Furgas, a detailed interview with John Foster, the former editor of OP, plus loads of band profiles, reviews, and miscellaneous other goodies.
This is the little brother of No Longer Forgotten Music and its aim is to post scans of fanzines out of the musical underground. These posts will be very irregular. The languages will be (probably) English, German and Dutch - languages I can read. Translations will not be provided, so please don't ask.

Like with No Longer Forgotten Music, I have decided to sell some of the fanzines on this blog. Make me a serious (!) offer for any item you see, in euros, excluding postage and I will consider it. A lot of people ask me for prices, please don't. I have no prices, no list. You ask what you want and offer what you think is fair. DON'T ASK FOR A PRICE LIST. Please send to: <firstname.lastname@example.org>
