Odd issue which is shared with the only very temporarily revived Flowmotion magazine. That part has pieces on Hula, Final Image, O Yuki Conjugate, Son Of Sam, Whitehouse, Osman Spare, Throbbing Gristle, UV Pop, while on the Zamizdat side we find pieces on compilation cassettes, The Healers, Das Frohliche Wohnzimmer, and others bits of news. A bit chaotic on the layout, but that is I guess the charmm. Published 1985
This is the first issue from Zamizdat Trade Journal, a magazine which varied in size over the years, published by Joel Haertling of Architects Office. Some were on paper, some took life as compilation cassettes. I was searching for them, and could only find issue 6 online, but not number 4 which seems to have quite well-known names, as Nurse With Wound and The Legendary Pink Dots. I don't have these myself, but I have various issues of the paper magazine, and I'll start with this number one, which is basically a lot of fine print on The Legendary Pink Dots, Architects Office, Nurse With Wound, Stan Brakhage and a piece on the cassette scene in the USA. In English. Published August 1984.
Also published by the R&D Group 28 is this magazine, perhaps an one-off, which is basically a collection of various press cuttings from the UK press on Throbbing Gristle, and pictures from magazines, including bits on Cosey. Nice!
A magazine published by the R&D Group 28, which I think was Mick Gaffney. Article on Culturcide, a discography on Throbbing Gristle, Smile, Chemical Warfare article (by Coup De Grace), collages, reviews and contacts.
The only other I issue I borrowed from this German language magazine. Featuring Dsordne, Experimental movies in osnabruck, Keith Haring, Mimi Festival, J.K. Noyce, Orchestre Murphy, Private Studio, F. richard, Welttraumforscher. The cassette that came with is also ripped and has music by Big Selfish & The Ideals, Orchestre Murphy, The Massed Ranks Of The Proletariat, Grafio, Major Dents and Only A Mother.
This is the little brother of No Longer Forgotten Music and its aim is to post scans of fanzines out of the musical underground. These posts will be very irregular. The languages will be (probably) English, German and Dutch - languages I can read. Translations will not be provided, so please don't ask.
REPORT BROKEN LINKS THROUGH E-MAIL, NOT AS COMMENT.
Like with No Longer Forgotten Music, I have decided to sell some of the fanzines on this blog. Make me a serious (!) offer for any item you see, in euros, excluding postage and I will consider it. A lot of people ask me for prices, please don't. I have no prices, no list. You ask what you want and offer what you think is fair. DON'T ASK FOR A PRICE LIST.
