The first issue of OPtion from 1985, actually the "A" issue. OPtion's mission was to pick up where the recently defunct OP had left off, servicing the independent music community. (Sound Choice began publishing at the same time, waiving the same banner.) Though it eventually developed into a more mainstream publication, OPtion did start out following the OP format. Lots of great profiles and reviews, with separate review sections for vinyl and cassettes, indie friendly radio station listings and a resources page. The music covered is all over the map. But in this issue you'll find an interview with Masami Akita/Merzbow, and lots of interesting coverage in the reviews. From March-April 1985

Off-Beat 2
Submitted by 433rpm:
Finger In The Dike is mostly known as a cassette label, but they also had a small fanzine called Off Beat. Very small in size. I only have number 2. Collages, small features in Dutch on the Sheffield music scene (Finger In The Dike released various bands from that city like Rentokil d and An Ordered Life) and Beats Per Minute. Quite nice, even if the Dutch language is alien to you.

Audion 9
Submitted by 433rpm:
Long running magazine, published by Freeman brothers. Lots of stuff on synthesier music, and prog rock, but also bits on more experimental music. I only have a few issues, of which today number 9 from August 1988, with articles on David Prescott, Baschet Brothers, Recommended Records, Fønix, New World, Dawn Awakening, Embryo, Esplendor Geometrico and lots of small bits of information.
