Vinyl Magazine
This post is to announce a new blog by me, entirely dedicated to the Dutch magazine Vinyl. Its all in Dutch but has tons of great interviews, photos, reviews and with the first 26 issues also a flexi. I'm planning to post one every week, until the mission is completed. All of this has been scanned by Krit Koenig from Belgium, whom I can't thank enough. I supplied the flexi disc material as I have all of these, and still cherish it like the bible of new music. So go there straight away!

Force Mental 5
Submitted by 433rpm:
Highly controversial magazine published by Club Moral, not just about muziek (here a piece by Merzbow and The Haters), but also performance art (Marx verunxt, V, Nigel rolfe), Literature (Mary Dowd, Gery de Smet, Jurgen Voordeckers), collages by Peter Sotos, Krik, Bernaded Dexters and DDV and AMVK. This seems the only one issue I physically have. Published march/april 1983, partly Dutch, part English.

1986 Calender
Submitted by 433rpm:
Two graphical booklets at the start of the new year, both dealing with new years: calenders. Both were produced by Korm Plastics and are basically graphics by musicians who incorporated a month. The 1986 one is a booklet - quite useless if you ask me for a calender - and has graphics by Graf Haufen, Alain Neffe, Coup e Grace, Rafael Flores, Wartste Copy Art, 6de Kolonne, Mick Gaffney, Kart, Peter Zincken, Trev Ward, Disabuse Tranmissions and Hapunkt Fix. Edition of 86 copies, obviously.

Electronic Cottage No 3
Posted by Spaceman33
Wow, lots of great stuff in this issue. Interviews with Dave Prescott, Dan Burke (Illusion of Safety), Randy Greif, Rik Rue, and Takehisa Kosugi. An account of the First International Cassette Makers Conference (The Kentucky Fried Royalty Meeting) in Cologne, Germany. An account of the Vidna Obmana American tour. And a variety of interesting articles, including articles about independent music in West Germany, cultural aspects of improvisation, a history of Lloyd Dunn's PhotoStatic project, and much more. Lots of interesting letters from readers in the Feedback section too. From March 1990.
