Issue #3 of File 13 from Feb 1989. We've got an interview with guitarist Gary Waleik, an interesting "scene" report (covering food) from Japan, lots of live show coverage, record, tape and zine reviews. Issue #4 (coming soon) is when File 13 stops being free and begins to blossom into a maga"zine".

Even When It Makes No Sense 1
Submitted by 433rpm
I have neglecting this blog this month, so to make up things a bit, two posts today. This magazine is not about music per se, but has writing by various people, like Jonathan Briley, Broken Flag, Giancarlo Toniutti, J. Smith (on 'difficult music'), a piece on Gurdjieff/Barrett, Nails Ov Christ, Micheal Sefton, Toll, Controlled Bleeding and Coup de Grace

Lowlife 15
Submitted by Spaceman33:
Lowlife was published by Glen Thrasher in Atlanta, Georgia, and featured a combination of local Atlanta and global music coverage. They also ran a cassette & record label. I've only got a few later issues. This is #15, which I think is from 1988, my main clue being the cover artwork is dated that year. This sucker is huge, nearly 90 pages, and is packed with reviews, lots of interviews with Atlanta bands, but also an interview with Miekal And & Liz Was, and lots of other stuff. It also came with a free 7" 33rpm with 6 bands, that I've included (no indexing). I lived in Atlanta from 1981-87 and
used to practically live at all the records stores you see advertized in the mag.

C.L.E.M. March 1984
Submitted by Spaceman33
Perhaps the granddaddy of all lists, the Contact List of Electronic Music (C.L.E.M.) was published by Alex Dougas out of Vancouver, Canada. Though primarily a contact list, it was in magazine format, and included some letters and reviews. The magazine is well organized, with sections for
organizations, radio stations, magazines/zines, and records/tapes, all segmented by country or part of the world. Many 1980s hometapers I've interviewed point to this as having been a key networking tool, and browsing through this monster list its easy to see why.

ADN 6
Submitted by 433rpm:
ADN is perhaps best known as a cassette label and distribution of cassettes in the 80s in Italy. They produced some great tapes (Tasaday, New 7th Music, Verdenskang) and later on produced some vinyl (Conrad Schnitzler, De Fabriek), but they had a magazine too. I think number 5 was the first in English, and I may have that 'somewhere in the basement, vault, attic, dustbin', but for now, we do number 6, which is a bunch of seperate papers in a plastic bags. Interview with Art Zoyd, Bourbonese Qualk, Die Form & Nulla Iperreale (which is a different Die Form than the one you know - I know), Esplendor Geometrico, New 7th Music, Smegma and Steve Feigenbaum, plus reviews.
