Unsound Vol 1 No 2
Submitted by Spaceman33
Here's the second issue of Unsound. Highlights in this issue include interviews with Blixa of Einsturzende Neubauten, Negativland, and Rova Saxophone Quartet. An interesting article on Free Music by Bonnie Kane, who some of you might know from such great bands as W.O.O. Revelator, World of Tomorrow, and Mambo Mantis. Lots of other stuff plus, of course, REVIEWS. From 1983

The Other Sound 5
Submitted by 433rpm:
In this issue you'll find extensive information on Psychic TV, although not included is a MP3 of the interview with Genesis P-Orridge. Maybe I'll do that one day. Also a piece on the Beast 666, Problemist, Sleep Chamber and a Coup de Grace piece. Pretty grim, right?

File 13 No 2
Submitted by Spaceman33
File 13 was published by Mark Lo (New Jersey). I've got issues 2-16, running from 1998-1993. I believe 16 was the last issue but not certain. (Anyone got issue #1?) Issue 2 features interviews with Ron Lessard of RRRecords, The Venus Fly Trap, an article on Craniocloast, and lots of reviews. Good mag and had a pretty decent longevity.

Tabloid
Submitted by 433rpm
No matter how much I like to, this blog shall never be a complete library. For lots of magazines, I'd like to start with issue 1, then 2 etc, but in some cases that is impossible. I have no idea where I got this particular magazine, called Tabloid. When I did the upload I thought it was issue 25, but now that I look closer, it seems that it says 25p (pence). Oh well. Its throughout not always the best quality typing, even when I used the black sheet behind each scan as suggested by Icepick Method. Pieces/interviews on Muslimgauze, Pink Industry, Cosey Tutti, The Morrisons, Nocturnal Emissions, Richard Dadd, Riot Of Colour. Date unknown.

ND 4
Submitted by Spaceman33
ND was published by Dan Plunkett (Austin, Texas) and did a fine job of bringing together the Mail Art, Performance Art, and Hometaper realms. Issue #4 is the earliest I've got and published in January 1985. Among other goodies this issue includes interviews with Günter Brus and Bene Gesserit, and articles on Die Form, Architects Office, and Unovidual, plus reviews and MORE. NOTE: I still need issues 1-3, 5, 7-8, 10-11. If you've got them and are interesting in parting with them (I'm buying), email me at jkranitz@aural-innovations.com

Rattlesnake Arena 4
Rattlesnake Arena 4
Submitted by 433rpm
The companion post to No Longer Forgotten Music's post of today is a magazine published by Gianfranco Santoro and it might be the only issue I have. In the editorial it says its the first issue in English. I think it was published in 1988. This issue has interviews with Nostalgie Eternelle, Kapotte Muziek, TAC, Autopsia and reviews of tapes, records and magazines.

Archive 1 & 3
Submitted by 433rpm
A fanzine published by Frans de Waard in 1984, which doesn't have interviews or reviews but discographies of various bands up to that point. He says its a 'supplement' to other fanzines. Remember this is all long before internet, Discogs and all that. Included are Esplendor Geometrico, The Legendary Pink Dots, Attrition, DDAA, Konstruktivits, Portion Control, The Nocturnal Emissions, P16D4, Van Kaye + Ignit. The second issue was all about Insane Music, which came with a cassette, which I will put up separate, and number 3 is included here: a single sheet with updates. Afterwards Frans de Waard granted this a release on his Korm Plastics label, cataloguenumber KP2, and issue 3 is KP 9.

Electronic Cottage No 1
Submitted by Spaceman33
Electronic Cottage was published by veteran electronic/sound/noise artist Hal McGee, who also ran the Cause & Effect cassette label in the 1980s. The magazine ran for 6 issues and it's stated mission was to spotlight the hometaper scene. In fact, most of the contributors to the magazine were key members of the (mostly) American hometaper underground. Included in this first issue is an interview with musician and Sound of Pig label founder Al Margolis, a profile of Deaf Eye, an article about ND magazine by it's publisher, Daniel Plunkett, essays by Dave Prescott, Carl Howard, and Amy Denio, lots of reviews, and MORE. Published April 1989

Datenverarbeitung 8
Submitted by 433 RPM:
Perhaps you know the name Datenverarbeitung as a great German label, responsible for 'Die Fliegen' by Die Kloperfbande, Hunting Lodge or the various compilations, such as 'Eindzeit', 'Sinn & Form' and 'Bain Total Germany', but it started as a magazine. I only have this issue, which is mostly in English, but also some in German. Articles on Radio Free Europe, Esplendor Geometrico, Albrecht D, Selektion, Sterile Records, MB, Laughing Hands and Aleph2 Records (of which I never heard a release - anyone can help?).

H23 Number 1
Submitted by Spaceman33:
I only recently became aware of this publication and only have this first issue, so any further information as to how many issues there were would be appreciated. H23 was published by Ron Rice, who was based in Pullman, Washington. Well done interviews with Philip Perkins, David Myers (Arcane Device), Paul Lemos (Controlled Bleeding), Dan Burke (Illusion of Safety), Daniel Plunkett (publisher of ND magazine), plus reviews. From 1989.
(note by 433RPM: I have the two issues that came after that, and will post them in the future, including the 7" that came with issue 2)
